intro
Undemanding and over laidback electropop on debut album from Finnish duo, the Gentlemen Losers
The odd thing with this first release on the Berlin Büro record label, the offshoot from the City Centre Offices label, is a tame, lush and lazy sound I would not had associated with an office - Büro=bureau=office. Slowly yet consistently the Gentleman Losers - a duo from Finland - drift off on their own rocking boat, tugged forwards by dolphins, I think, or by elves, perhaps. A submarine lost in the realms of glitches and electro acoustics this may be, yet it's got 'hippy' stamped all over it. Perfectedly suited for your Summer doledrums however though. If Fleetwood Mac's 'Oh Well' is a favourite with you, then the Gentleman Losers' debut album would be your perfect companion for months to come. Think of this album as the perfect non-challenge. Get comfortable and enjoy the lazy sound. Little else to enjoy I have to admit. Sweet though !
