'Acoustic' is a new eight track mini LP from Clayhill, which features former Sunhouse vocalist Gavin Clark, and guitarist Ted Barnes and double bassist Ali Friend, both of whom also play in Beth Orton's backing band. It is their third CD together and features some old songs, a few new ones and also a cover of the Smiths 'Please Please Let Me Get What I Want', all of which are all beautifully delivered. 'Acoustic' isn't as cinematic-sounding as the electric Clayhill, but instead has a homely feel, and, very calming, is never less than lovely. Wonderful stuff !
