intro

Indulgent guitar rock in the the vein of Steve Vai and Joe Satriani from Mind Capsule, the nom de plume for American musician and producer Robert Sadowski

Ooh, ambient. Oh no, hang on, it's actually guitar indulgence in the vein of Steve Vai or Joe Satriani. Okay, so if I was a guitar/music production magazine writer I could say about how good the production is or how Robert Sadowski's use of flowing legato lead lines and delay on the opening track fits extremely well with the chilled out backing. I am, however, not and for anyone apart from anal guitarists who think being able to do pinch harmonics on every fret is a life skill, this album is pretty much useless, unless you are perhaps making a documentary and in need of some mood music. It's pretty obvious that Sadowski can play guitar extremely well and I am in no way attacking his technical skill and ability. It's just whole albums of solo guitar with backing bores the hell out of me! If you like this kind of stuff then I seriously advise you to go out and hunt this album down. It is a fine example of using the guitar for all its worth whilst straying through several very emotive styles.
