intro
Limited to 300 copies 7" split single which features both post rockers Air Formation and indie rockers Tempertwig
This split 7" single had been released on Solution B Records and is limited to 300 copies. Air Formation have already released 2 albums, and this single sees the band providing the follow-up to those. A slow but rich tune pilots Air Formation’s track, ‘Seethrustars’. Avalanches of feedback spill around and then you eventually hear a blurred voice melting inside it. The whole song has a spaced out and free feel to it. If it’s possible to describe it this way… it’s a bit like watching white clouds moving slowly across the blue sky. They are huge, keep changing shape and, by watching them, you are taken high up into the air with them. Tempertwig's ‘Brat-pack Film Philosophy’ has a very different style. The music restricts itself to a limited amount of feedback, which surfaces only occasionally. There is also more emphasis on the lyrics which are half sung and half spoken in a charismatic manner that is reminiscent of Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker. The bass then smoothes out any possible rough edges. While this double A side single features 2 quite different bands, their convincing and uninhibited attitude connects them together perfectly. Each band also contributes with something unique to it.
