A new EP for Spraydog on the Stupid Cat label and yet again it's another diamond in the rough. At this point it might as well be said that I love Spraydog with a passion. If you've already been smitten by there unnerving ability to mix the beauty of effervescent blissed out guitars and the pain of unrequited love you can now nod knowingly, and for those that don't, let me bend your eye for a moment. 'Girls Know Girls' begins in a dressed down style that shows a skin and bones frailty which Steve and Maria's vocals murmur over, only hinting at the pop ecstasy in store. 'Peardrops' doesn't require such shy and retiring sensibilities. It's a defiant joyous outburst of emotion and noise which leads the way for the rest of the EP. So it's yet another highlight in the Spraydog treasure trove. For people just finding their way here, what are you waiting for ? This is a guide post to a beautiful back catalogue.
