"James Dean-esque" is the cleanest sounding Crocketts release yet. As in all Crockett-esque music, it combines insanely sung vocals with powerful guitaring that seem to make life come alive. This dazzling composition borrows the name of James Dean in a way that not one of his truest fans could complain about and is a fitting tribute that truly encapsulates his life. The music moves swiftly into the "B-sides". They contrast throughout, and have both melodic and tuneful moments and also those of madness and insanity, which is the Crocketts speciality. "Billy the Bunt" shows the Crocketts making masterful developments within their music and creates an awesome listening experience. "Rapid Pulsing Breaths" verges on sadness whilst retaining an air of happiness. This single is not quite the usual Crocketts whirlwind we have come to expect but it is, nonetheless, pulsating in every manner possible.
