Snow Patrol have managed to conjure up another indie rock track with guitar-type dance-style impetus that sucks you in. Those amongst us who are usually anti-dance might find themselves enjoying the strong almost dance-beat influence as an interesting trip-hop experience, whilst being carried away by the soothing vocals. The usual melodic sound is ever-present and makes for a good listen; confirming all the expectation that one places on the band. None of their onstage aggression creeps into the music; quite fortunate too if you want to recognize the individual sounds. With Absolute Gravity/Velocity Girl, Snow Patrol have made another quality offering that will one day lead them to great fame. This is certainly a tune that inspires relaxation and is ideally played whilst cruising with the soft top down.
