intro
Catchy third album from Glaswegian alternative rock band Twin Atlantic which is a clear change in direction
Twin Atlantic have released their fifth album – ‘Power’. The new release by this Scottish alternative rock band from Glasgow, the first since they left Red Bull Records, is a clear departure from their past work and sets the scene for further success. Sam McTrusty cites his own experiences with synaesthesia as being a major influence on this new collection. The songs are catchy, characterised by throbbing synths, stadium-sized choruses and the lead singer’s falsetto vocals, with the two singles ‘Novocaine’ and ‘Barcelona’ the highlights of the album. Thematically ‘Power’ moves from revolutions to dramatic love, earnestness and a quest for authenticity. This is an album which reveals more on multiple listening and marks a clear change in direction for this enterprising band.
