intro
Immaculate and thought-provoking live recording made in at festival in Berlin from electronic super group, Qluster
'Lauschen' is a live recording of an immaculate performance from one of electronic music's very own giants, Hans-Joachim Roedelius. It was recorded at the CTM-Zodiak Festival in Berlin in February 2012. These nine parts of a minimal electronic soundscape were performed by Roedelius, Onnen Block and Armin Metz. In a natural development of sound, these serene beauties appear like snowdrops do on a flat bedding. They are cold, but not cold in a distant inhumane way. These clear and calming compositions gently evoke contemplation. Listening to 'Lauschen' must be followed by a substantial silence, to fully grasp the monumental evenness. And when the album is ebbing away from your short memory, you may like I did return to 'Lauschen'. This live recording does render what Qluster performed, without any gossip or glitter. It is glitchless glory in the most moderate manner possible.
