intro
Driving psychedela on celebrity culture-bashing new single from Glaswegian rock/pop outfit Sons and Daughters
'Gilt Complex' is, the first single to be taken from Sons and Daughters' forthcoming album 'The Gift', due to be released on 28 January next year. With a thumping tribal beat and psychedelic style guitars behind her, Adele Bethel sings of the kind of celebs beloved by 'Hate', sorry 'Heat' magazine and the people that read it and try and keep up with their buy, buy, buy lifestyles. It's the driving beat that draws you into this sad story of empty lives and makes you want to swing one another round the dance floor wildly. The B side is a cover of Adamski's 'Killer'. I have to admit to not liking the original, but I think it's much improved by being covered by Sons & Daughters, it's been given a new lease of life that it never had before.
