intro
Overtly polished, but thoroughly disappointing latest single from much hyped New York singer songwriter Jesse Malin
Having not heard any of Malin’s material previously to this, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Being a massive Ryan Adams fan myself after hearing this track I can’t help but wonder about his involvement with Malin. This particular song is far removed from Adams’ raw and thoughtful (in the most part) music. This is a piece of overtly polished MOR and seems to offer nothing to the listener. I had high hopes of this single as Malin’s strong reputation preceded his music and unfortunately listening to this single that reputation is very undeserved.
