intro
Fantastic noisy pop punk on new EP from acclaimed all girl London group the Priscillas, which comprises together their first two 7" only singles
All girl London group the Priscillas first two 7”s, ‘Gonna Rip Up your Photograph’ and ‘All My Friends Are Zombies’, have been turning heads at most major radio stations and music mags. For those who haven’t got record players, the two singles have been put on a CD EP, with extra songs and CD-Rom videos. The Priscillas peddle wares of the finest noisy pop, the kind that the Ramones would have been proud of. Both singles are fantastic; ‘Gonna Rip Up…’ is, as the title suggests, about moving on from a relationship gone bad, while ‘All My Friends Are Zombies’ is a strange little story about the band getting shot down by a mad gran and coming back from the dead. ‘Brain Surgeon’ and ‘Should Be Me’ are short but very sweet punk songs, about stupid meatheads and unrequited love between friends, respectively. ‘Can’t Decide’ is, strangely enough, about being unable to decide what to have for tea. There may be a hidden message in there somewhere, but hopefully there isn’t. Singing about something as ordinary as that should be celebrated – who can’t relate to a song about trying to decide what to have to eat? Anyway, these songs are great; go buy this record.
