intro
Earthy Dylan-inspired acoustic new single from San Francisco distortion pioneers, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
This new single follows their recent white label gig giveaway, and sees San Francisco’s Men in Black going acoustic on us, but it ain’t twee. It is full of soul, and not of the loving sort either. This is earthy and of roots. ‘Ain’t No Easy Way’ and ‘Still Suspicion’, the first of its two B sides, both appear on the BRMC’s new album and hold you tight. They are perky, upbeat and in a classic Dylan mood with great mouth organ solos. Both are absolutely brilliant. The BRMC, stripped of their loudness, make up for it in raw energy alone. ‘Grind My Bones’, which ends the disc is slower and more mood. You can feel the blues on this, but it is beautiful because of it. I am not sure if the younger BRMC fans will get this single, but the older ones will because we all have had a thing for Dylan at one point in our lives.
