intro
Latest sample of hilarity from "punk's most joyful band", Guttermouth
Guttermouth’s ability to create absurd and hilarious humour can be found on the band's new single, 'Scholarship In Punk'. Featuring a track taken off the American group's latest album, 'Gusto', the single reveals live versions from Montreal of the superb track She’s Got The Look, and also 'Chug A Lug Night' , one of the more disappointing Guttermouth songs in existence. The bonus for fans is the inclusion of the 'Scholarship in Punk' video, filled with the ‘token’ beautiful women and the generous servings of mayhem and merriment that we have come to expect from punk’s most joyful band. 'Scholarship in Punk' is not one of the greatest Guttermouth tracks but it does have its charm. When in video format it instantaneously becomes several times better, but there are other album tracks that hold more esteem. For the Guttermouth fan this CD is only there for the video, but for those who have yet to savour the delights of Guttermouth, this might be a cheaper way of realising whether you like them or not.
