Electric Six - Photoscapes

intro
Darren Aston takes photographs of Detroit-based rock band Electric Six at the O2 Academy in Liverpool
Detroit-based band Electric Six had Top 5 hits in 2003 with 'Danger! High Voltage' and 'Gay Bar', and are the veterans of eleven albums including this year's 'Bitch, Don't Let Me Die!'. The group, a sextet, which is centred around their dynamic lead singer Dick Valentine, have had their music described as being a "synthesis of disco, synth pop, glam, and arena rock" and tour regularly. Electric Six played several dates in the UK in November and December, including a date at the O2 Academy in Liverpool on the 3rd December. These photographs were taken with a cracked lens by Darren Aston at that show, and capture some of their energy on stage.
