The formidable extravaganza of the A-side has the vibrancy of a live performance. Although there are at least five of them, Mucky Sailor are a tight and coherent outfit. This highly original prog rock garage band combines grace with zany intensity. Their wildly stomping sound is interrupted by short mind-bending trumpet and saxophone solos. 'Beefy Bells', the B-side, which merges a ding-dong chorus and hammering harmonies, provides more combustible fun. Mucky Sailor are a baffling band, and even more astonishingly their LP has been lying on the shelves for ages. You'd better hurry since this ten inch single, manufactured at the finest pressing plant in Europe, is a limited release.
