Bill Gray photographs psychedelic/folk pop band Two Wings at the launch show for their new album in their native Glasgow

Two Wings is the joint musical project of former Trembling Bells guitarist Ben Roberts and Finnish-English vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Hanne Tunlikki. The pair began a songwriting collaboration in 2009 after years of crossing paths in their native Glasgow, and have now recorded two albums of material under the moniker of Two Wings, 2012’s ‘Love’s Spring’ and this year’s ‘A Wake’, both of which have been released on Tin Angel Records. The other members of Two Wings include instrument builder and bass guitarist Kenny Wilson, additional vocalist, Lucy Duncombe and drummer Owen Curtis. The group recently played a short tour of the UK, concluding in an album launch show at Nice n’ Sleazy in Glasgow on June 21st. The band ‘s powerful music merges together twanging Acid-Country, harmonic 1970’s Californian-influenced folk rock and euphoric Memphis Soul.
