Our Website of the Month is the website for the Nottinghamshire festival the Deerstock Festival (http://jsouthgat7.wix.com/deerstock), which is one of Britain’s best small boutique festivals. The Deerstock Festival, which is now in its third year, will take place between the 25th and 27th July 2014 on a new larger site in Newton, Nottinghamshire, NG13. 8HN. It is a charity event, and will be supporting the Notts and Lincs Air Ambulance, The Lee Bonsall Memorial Fund and Teenage Cancer Trust. Acts confirmed so far include Ferocious Dog, Rev Hammer and Doggen, the subject of both a Pennyblackmusic interview and a ‘Vinyl Stories’ this month, will also be returning with his ‘All Star’ band. Other acts include Steve McGill, the Bar Steward Sons of Val Doonican, Stuck in 2nd, KT Ana, Leo and the Seraphim, Brad Dear, Karl & the Marx Brothers, Chris Raynor Jackson and Lauren Faith. Nominated last year in the Best Small Festival and Best Family Festival Awards, Pennyblackmusic’s own Dave Goodwin is the Deerstock's official photographer.
