intro
Marie Hazelwood photographs young Welsh rock and roll band Catfish and the Bottlemen at a show at The Shipping Forecast in Liverpool
Catfish and the Bottlemen are a young rock and roll band from Llandudo in North Wales. The group, which includes Van McCann (vocals and guitar), Billy Bibby (guitar), Benji Blakeway (bass) and Rob “Dr Bob” Hall (drums), have have self-released two EPs and two singles to date. While they have drawn critical comparisons from journalists with the Libertines, the Strokes, the Arctic Monkeys and the Kooks, their own listening is focused around acts such as Van Morrison, Elvis Presley and Mark Knopfler. In what is our second Photoscape with them, these photographs were taken by Marie Hazelwood at a gig at The Shipping Forecast in Liverpool on the 11th February.
