intro
Excellent third release, but debut EP from Edinburgh-based indie rock five-piece outfit, the Machine Room
'Love from a Distance' is the third release but first EP from Edinburgh-based five-piece the Machine Room, and grips you around the throat in the same way that the early House of Love did. The vocal by John Bryaen is as refreshing as hearing Radiohead for the first time back in their infant days. There are enough hooks and beats here for the average indie fan to pick up on, and to pick up their ears and give it a good listen. 'Your Head on the Floor Next Door; is perfect late night music, an anthemic driving record. 'Comino de Soda' moves in a different direction and sounds very fresh, like the Pet Shop Boys for the grown up generation. 'Picking Holes' is a light shoegaze number, commercial with a big Radiohead like push to it, but Coldplay fans will also like this alot.
