intro
Our Website of the Month is Black Diamond Merchandise, the website for the screen printing and badge making company of Pennyblackmusic writer Paul Waller
Fiona is absent this month. Fortunately, after her brain haemorrhage of earlier this year, it is nothing that serious. She is recovering from a foot operation that had to be put on hold as a result of it, and in her absence she has left the Website of the Month column in our hands. We have gone for a healthy bit of nepotism this month and our first ever commercial site, Black Diamond Merchandise www.blackdiamondmerchandise.co.uk, the new company of our Margate-based writer Paul Waller and his wife Clair. Black Diamond Merchandise is, as Paul and Clair describe it, as "a husband a wife, DIY, hand pulled screen-printing, badge making and sticker producing team. You design, we print." As Paul and Clair then go on to say, "Having been consumers of screen-printed goods for many years, we’ve never found a company that we’re 100% happy with, so instead of us moaning about it we decided to make a difference ourselves and produce merchandise that a band can be proud to sell to their fans. So, if you need a small or large run of T-Shirts, vests, hoodies, sweaters, stickers, badges, limited edition screen printed posters or anything else then this is the place for you." "We cater mainly for bands as that's what we know, but if you’re not in one don’t worry! We’re happy to provide merch for anyone - just get in touch and you’ll end up with a professional, kick-ass piece of merchandise! Does your Roller Derby team need some sassy kit to sell at bouts? We can make that happen. You need some badges to advertise your ‘zine, blog, website, club, gallery or even want to declare your love for that special someone with a 25mm button? Do not look any further. They are cheap as chips and look as cool today as they did back in the heyday of punk." Pennyblackmusic wishes Paul and Clair well with their new business.
