intro
Pleasing latest EP from eclectic Oxford/London hybrid, the Epstein
The Epstein's new three track EP mixes together a country and Simon and Garfunkel sound. But then again the title track could be a R.E.M. number. I have to say then that the Epstein with 'I Held You Once' have provided a good grounded mixture of music for what was obviously a very laid back session, but the sort that might make you want to use the grey matter more than just nodding off. Can I say indie meets folk as well just to be even more confusing? They are doing the rounds at the moment, so google them for which ever festival or venue they playing. You'll be pleasantly surprised by these Oxford/London boys, who are Olly Wills (acoustic guitar and vocals), Jon Berry (electric guitar and vocals) and Sebastian Reynolds (keyboards). Getting some air from Bob Harris on Radio 2 too has helped, and added to the general seal of approval which has also had 'Rolling Stone' and Radio 1 singing their praises. Keep your ears open. These lads are going to grow into a household name. Just give them a little time.
