intro
Stunning, harmony-driven debut album from Wellgreen, the project of Glaswegian multi-instrumentalists, Marco Rea and Stuart Kidd
This is a stunning debut from duo Marco Rea and Stuart Kidd. Both had played together in many previous projects and found an affinity sharing a love for great songs, phenomenal harmonies and fine, fine songwriting. Evident influences include the Beatles, the Beach Boys and Crosby Stills and Nash. Both Stuart and Marco are multi instrumentalists and, as the title suggests, the product is organic. From as early as the third track 'Maybe It's the Pressure of City Life', this is a songwriting partnership that really can't fail, confirmed by the very next track, a wonderful ballad 'December Child'. The album also shows these guys can rock out with the best of them, particularly on 'Into the Red Light'. There are many many highlights shining through this debut which is nineteen tracks long. Brilliant!
