intro

Appealing combination of 50's-influenced blues and alt. country on six track debut mini-album from Glaswegian band, Three Blind Wolves

Three Blind Wolves are a four piece from Glasgow which are fronted by feature Ross Clark 'Sound of the Storm' may only be six tracks long, but what in lacks for in length it makes up for in quality. On opener 'Hotel' Clark croons his way through a tale of drunken debauchery and hopelessness. The band mix blues and alt country with some good old 50's crooning. Clark's vocal compels you to listen and you can certainly feel his pain throughout this journey. 'Emily Rose' again with its bluesy wailing chorus reels you in. My pick of the six though has to be the gorgeous 'Hopeless Romantic', a 50's ballad with plenty of twists and a great tune. The closer and title track, 'Three Blind Wolves', veers towards gospel. If you are a lover of the Twilight Sad, Arcade Fire or Kill it Kid you will get it totally. The band head out on a UK wide tour October. Catch them if you can.
