intro
Fantastic and heavyweight 60's film score-influenced second album from San Francisco indie pop act, the Postcards
'Memoirs at the End of the World' is a well made album of great substance and healthy listening from San Francisco indie pop band, the Postmarks. You could be listening to a great film score or cult 60’s musical score here. Electronica enters into the mix with some of the tracks and I think, as with a lot of great albums. the complete works should be commented on and not broken up to give one track better marks than another. The female vocal talents of Tim Yehezkely (yes that’s her name) are drifting and Sunday morning like, very good to help along with a good chill. You instantly think you have heard the tracks before and this is because of their very cleverly made cinematic styling. John Barry and Burt Bacharach sound-a-like frameworks give all the tracks more than enough weight to easily merit it in your favourites folder on the dreaded ipod. A great album!
