Eerie, yet catchy pop on debut EP from Scottish trio, North Atlantic Oscillation

No mention of Kevin Godley and Lol Creme in the press release. Instead Brian Wilson and Grandaddy serve as obligatory references. Still, the North Atlantic Oscillation deals in clever pop, vocoder vocals, eerie yet catchy choruses plus a surprise cover of an evergreen from yesteryear. A well-chosen name by the way, North Atlantic Oscillation, as this EP brings a nice warm breeze. It was recorded in sunny Glasgow and got mixed down in tropical Dublin. Going down like a storm in Grimsby, no doubt. The track which won't appear on their forthcoming debut and the one to go for on this EP is 'Ceiling Poem' which has a chorus will stick which you won't be able to get out of your head. 'I Only Have Eyes For You' you will recognize from Sky Radio-like programmes but you'll be intrigued by the arrangement, which made me draw in the names of Godley and Creme. 'I'm Not In Love' was a lie; 'I Only Have Eyes For You'.
