Promising debut EP of adult-oriented pop from Sheffield-based two-piece, Indigo Road

Indigo Road originally featured Wings guitarist Denny Laine's daughter, Heidi, but she now has a new band called Pearl. The group, which was formed in 2008, now consists of Belle Erskine and Mark Peter Herbert. 'Glory' which opens the EP,is piano based and Belle's vocals on it are glorious. It is very grown up pop for couples and perfect seduction music. 'Perfect moment' is folk/acoustic based, and again has a lush vocal from Belle and is a song for lovers. 'Nirvana' is an anthemic number that commands you to listen to it, while 'Heart on Fire', which ends the EP, is a power ballad, sung and delivered with a full understanding of life and everything in it.
