intro
Excellent reggae on new twelve inch collection of remixes from Swiss-based group Talen, which includes a set of free download give aways
With Talen dubstepping all over the place and rubbing it down from Switzerland, Sir Lee Perry's favourite hideout for example, 'Kingston Book' reflects on dub music gone mad. Teaming up with Sizzla, Talen rise to the occasion on the A-Side of 'Kingston Book'. 'Kingston Book' probably goes down as Sizzla's fiercest statement claim to fame, of fame much overdue. "Don't you fight The Vibes; I like The Vibes" was Sizzla's answer before remix duties brought on Stereotyp, who in his turn, turned up the bass straightaway. The true magic to this release is the bursting, bubbling ragga riddim though. Cutty Ranks comes to toast on the B-Side and the Markus Kienzl remix for this ultimately ends up as the strongest track on this EP. It comes, by the way, with a voucher for extra tracks which you can download from the internet. The first of which is the Alien Entertainment remix for Cutty Ranks's 'Sniper Sniper'. A haunting piece of dubstep and just perhaps a little too sinister to be available regularly, the remix trims down the original to poppy proportions. It is odd this version of superior potential is not readily available on the market. The Dillon Dug remix is next, and, still from the bombaklaat internet download only, adds an acid, electronic house music touch. Things definitely loosen on Kienzl's remix for 'Sniper Sniper'. Your loudspeakers shall have to go through serious testing for an uncredited version of Sizzla with The Vibes, as the last download giveaway.
