Familiar but also exciting-sounding new split single from techno acts, Kid606, Cardopusher and Bad Xman

This latest instalment on Shockout, the upfront shootoff from Tigerbeat6 Records, is a threeway session of label owner Kid606, Cardopusher and Bad Xman all in one. Heavy bass-inflicted mayhem with dubstep doing heavyweights; the 'Disciples of the Dread' EP does not shed a new light on dance music yet rather purveys corners where dance music has already gone. On the menu, you will find slices of happy breakbeat, buzzing electronica and bubbling callenatics. Familiar ingredients dished up on a fresh new platter. Tastes good, chews easily and the aftertaste is quite great. Well, how about something fresh from the Kid master though. The formula has worn out. Yet we can't have excitingly new beats every week, can we?
