Our Website of the Month is www.jimsummariaphoto.com, the website of Chicago-based photographer, Jim Summaria. Summaria has been a photographer since the early 1970s and, freelance since 1999, has worked for a variety of marketing, public relations and news firms. Before that between 1973 and 1978 he was the staff photographer for Chicago rock concert promoter Flip Side Productions. Summaria, who still sometimes takes rock photographs, has put some of his photos from that period in a ‘Classic Rock’ section on his website. These include, as well as this portrait of Pete Townshend and Keith Moon from the Who, photographs of Elvis Presley,the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, the Kinks and recent Pennnyblackmusic interviewees, the New York Dolls.
