intro
Dirty-sounding, but heartfelt electro on new single from Pennyslvanian group Innerpartysystem who seem destined for major success
Pennsylvanian natives Innerpartysystem are already making waves across the States with their dirty electro sounds and are now set to unleash their noise upon the UK. With the current explosion in electro-based music this is a band that unlike many are pioneers and leaders in their field rather than guitarists that are trying to do something ‘different’. The deep bassy synth sounds which drive single ‘Die Tonight Live Forever’ give the song a huge warehouse club sized sound and with Patrick Nissley's effect-laden vocals and techno sound-scapes this makes for a brilliant listen. It’s the sort of sound that screams of dark clubs and fluorescent lights as the music pumps away until it is light again outside. They have a real intensity mostly down to Patrick's vocals which give it a really sexy sound to it. Think of a younger and happier Trent Reznor singing aboiut letting all the bad things out and getting down. The mixture of the intense feeling of the lyrics against the gargantuan synths brings an almost industrial edge to the tune. The reason these guys are doing this well is because they mean it and there is a feeling to the music, which can often feel a bit lost when more indie style bands decide to go electro. You’ll be hearing so much more from this band over the next year.
