intro
Dance-influenced indie rock on new EP from up-and-coming Scottish group Drive by Argument
Drive by Argument hail from Ayr in Scotland and release this on the Killers original label, Lizard King. 'Left, Left, Walk Forward , Get On the Dragon' begins with gentle beats until loud keyboards kick in. Singer Stu's vocal sounds a lot like Kele Okereke of Bloc Party. Commercial in a big pop way, it has enough hooks in it to be absolutely huge. 'Calm' is sung through a vocal distorter, and much slower has the pace of a Bjork ballad, but is also much more keyboards based. Halfway through it gets much louder and dance-orientated, without changing too much of its feel. 'I Want to Know What Dub Is' again begins sounding like a Bjork ballad before speeding right up. It is very heavy on keyboards and guitars and in parts sound like a rave nmber, which is something of a shock because the sleeve makes the band look quite hardcore and punkish..
