intro
Energetic and hypnotic latest single from electro act, Ratatat
'Waow!' Almost as dangerously attractive as the 1942 Jacques Tourneur 'Cat Woman' film was, Ratatat's new single 'Wildcat' emerges from signs of an oncoming attack which, incidently, worked to much greater effect on this single's remix from E*vax - who isthe brother to E*rock, upon whose Audio Dregs label Ratatat first showed their strut after all. Now, all you birds and mice take cover !Ratatat is at it again! The little genius of Ratatat is in the repeat of tricks from their seemingly one-dimensional debut single 'Seventeen Years' on Audio Dregs. Split up over new tracks, the well to these remains well clear; yet extracted from the whole of the original debut single, the new bits and pieces subsequently were - believe me - recorded via a microscope or magnifying glass focusing on 'Seventeen Years'. These tracks could bore you to tears, caught in a cynical mood (should that be mode? - I wonder) but being ripped apart is more likely the case. Another class item for the dance floor actually! 'Seventeen Years' Mark II or III it may be, but you simply will not get enough of it.
