intro
Anthemic second single from the Hope of the States from their just released new album, 'Left'
'Sing It Out' is the second single from 'Left', the just released second album from Hope of the States. The title track is a massive-sounding anthem that demands attention from the start. It has a gothic edge to it and is reminiscent of the early Mission. It is both trancey and moody and very danceable, but develops beautifully as it progresses. 'Morning Ghosts' , the first of the two B sides, is like 'Sing It Out' perfect. It is slower to start, but another head turner that again becomes anthemic as it moves along. 'My Son, The Crow' is more experimental with a distorted vocal, and is both moody and magnificent. There are also two seven inch versions of 'Sing It Out', both of which feature instrumentals on their B sides. ' Hum' is a mood based piece while 'Rek' has a slow sad violin base to the sound, Both of these tracks have a horror film soundtrack's spookiness.
