First single from new Boston-based band Protokoll, who is reminisicent of both the Editors and Joy Division

Protokoll hail from Boston and this single is their debut release. ‘Moving Forward’ initially sounds like Blondie's ‘Dreaming’ being sung by the Editors’ Tom Smith or Joy Division’s Ian Curtis. As it moves on, its guitar work becomes grittier. It continues to recall the Editors, but also has a feel of the Chameleons. ‘Holy Divine’ also recollects the Chameleons. It sounds very 80’s in an alternative way, with strong keyboards swimming over jangling guitars.
