With only two tracks, 'Kylie’s Heroes' is superbly arranged space-adelic electro-mod tease that makes you want more. It’s simply not fair. Hailing from the French suburbs, the Bishop Invaders are Blur and Brian Epstein’s collective wet dream. In ‘Kylie’s Heroes’ beautiful lyrics, distant and dreamlike, drone sublimely over the complex simplicity of hidden synth riffs, piano trebles and tinkles, and unexpected basslines. ‘Passengers’ is a subliminal message from something, somewhere, more wonderful and powerful. Gorgeous harmonies, elongated guitar peaks, abrupt, almost covert drums glide in the background, a scorching crescendo like a well-oiled harpoon quite suddenly, marvellously assimilate your subconscious. If this is the music of the suburbs, I’m moving to suburbia.
