TWP (pronounced ‘tupp’ and roughly translated as ‘stupid’) are another promising new band out of Wales. They sold out their debut self financed EP last year and this follow up appears on Kayak, a Rough Trade offshoot. Lead track ‘Helpless’ is the one that will be getting all the airplay and attention as it’s the most commercial of the four songs on this EP while the others are more grungey pop that I suspect is more representative of the true TWP sound. They remind me in places of another Welsh band, 60ft Dolls, especially on ‘Falling’ but my favourite is the closing ‘Catch Me If You Can’ where the vocalist’s Welsh accent really comes out to great affect. They have sadly just completed a UK tour but there’s no doubt that they’ll be back as this EP shows another Welsh band that can only get better.

Track Listing:-
1 Helpless
2 Out Of The day
3 Falling
4 Catch Me If You Can
