intro
Highly collectable limited edition vinyl EP of irresistible synth pop taken from Belgian husband-and-wife duo Aksak Maboul's first album in thirty years
This is a handsome and handy summary of 'Figures', Aksak Maboul's first new album in thirty years and features four of its tracks, edited on a petite platter of black vinyl. It is highly collectable of course, since Brussels' Crammed Discs only release very few 7 inch EPs. This features the ultimate snappy charm of the wonderful voice of Véronique Vincent, who is more than on a par with Stereolab's Laetitia Sadier, and who is joined by her husband Marc Hollander, their daughter Faustine and a certain Fred Frith. 'All Comes To An End' ('Tout a Une Fin') is an irresistible synth pop song about the facts of life - "La Silence et l'Ennui" , and is followed with quainter style and grace by 'Blue Pen' ('Blaue Bleistift') and 'C'Est Charles' in abridged variations. Gently whizzing electronica pop with hints of new wave and lounging jazz.
Track Listing:-
1 Tout A Une Fin (Short)2 Blaue Bleistift
3 C'est Charles (Edit)
4 Silent Silhouettes
