Surrey-based singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner is known for both his bright red dreadlocks, and unusual style of percussive guitar playing where he hits and taps the body of his acoustic guitar. Faulkner, who is from Reigate in Surrey, has now released four albums, ‘Hand Built by Robots’(2007), ‘Rebuilt by Humans’(2009), ‘Write It On Your Skin’ (2012) and 'Studio Zoo' (2013). These photographs of Newton Faulkner, who tours almost constantly, were taken by Marie Hazelwood at the O2 Academy in Liverpool on the 16th February.
