intro
In his 'Evidently Spencertown' poetry column, Spencer Robertshaw reflects in his latest poem on the power of creativity
Creativity comes in dynamic pulses You can be sat on a bus or in the train In a coffee shop In a queue for something you probably don’t need On a journey you might not want to go on In a place you might not want to be At 3 or 4 a.m. in the morning When all normal people give in A borrowed scrap of paper The back of a beer mat or fag packet But not too many fag packets anymore Creativity is the first note of that song The first word or line of that poem The dance your mind takes Snow on a sunny day Swans on your washing line Secret agents seeking Sitting at the end of a rainbow Carefully considering consideration Creativity can create equality without language Don't ever stop believing Creativity starts with you, any day, any time It only takes You!
