Edgy fourth single from inventive Manchester-based guitar three piece, City Reign

After a brief sabbatical Manchester's adopted sons City Reign return with new single 'Ahead of Ideas' in the run up to their debut album, 'Another Step', that could well be a surprise hit when it surfaces in 2013. Very much in keeping with the high standards showcased on the band's earlier singles such as 'Making Plans' and 'Out in the Cold', their latest offering has a slightly edgier feel similar to Idlewild. Songwriting pair Chris Bull and Mike Grice certainly know how to make catchy guitar music and with Duncan Bolton on skins they are a trio well worth keeping tabs on. With a clutch of live dates, including a couple European jaunts in Paris and Amsterdam, City Reign are set to end the year on a high.
