intro
Frenzied latest album from whirlwind Japanese act Polysics, who have moved from a punkpop to an intense Eurodisco sound
Polysics never fail to disappoint. 'Absolute POLYSICS' brings on a whirlwind of tsunami proportions, but the remarkable change lies in their swift move to Eurodisco. A bit of the old Polysics kamikaze punkpop was left in store but progression shows in for example the loud, zany and snappy 'Saiminjutsu de GO' and 'Eye Contact'. These tracks capture the autobahn beats, in near gabber style, as well as the perky bonanza which represents the very world that Japan's Polysics live in. Spasms and spurts determine this splattering spate of spunky spastics. 'E.L.T.C.C.T.' follows on that same path, all blistering nonsense of course; yet most probably unheard of before. 'Fire Bison' forms another case of where devoid punkpop and frenzied house music meet. 'Absolute POLYSICS' works like an overcharged battery. The closing track 'Wasabi' blends the little that was left of Nippon pop with that speedy, sporty spectacular of deafening pop music. Absolutely Polysics, let there be no misunderstanding.
