intro

60's influenced second solo single from Edgar Jones, the former frontman with Liverpool's the Stairs.

'The Way It Is' is the second solo single from Edgar Jones, the former frontman with Liverpool the Stairs. 'The Way It Is opens with a raw, primitive rhythm, before brass and guitar lead it into an early r 'n' b Stones territory but with a lot more soul. 'Nothin' Doin', the first of its B sides, is much more reminiscent of the Beatles and sounds like a Ringo oddity. Edgar's vocal sounds like he has smoked 1,000 cigarettes on it before singing this take. 'Mood Indigo' is an Ellington/Mills track, and is a slow jazz number with double bass, a be bop vocal and even a vinyl record hiss. It is very slow and very sexy but also very dated in its appeal and delivery.

Track Listing:-
1 The Way It Is
2 Nothin' Doin'
3 Moon Indigo
