Debut single from 19 year old Kate Nash, who has been drawing comparisons with Lily Allen

This is the debut single by Kate Nash. At only 19 years old, she already has over 19, 000 MySpace friends. With this being limited to 1,000 on vinyl, there is a download too. She's is already being touted as the next Lily Allen, but she is not. She is actually talented. The A side, 'Caroline's a Victim', has a late 70's/early 80's new wave feel and recalls acts like Martha and the Muffins. It is simple and repeats itself over and over with big beats. 'Birds', the flip sound, is stripped down and acoustic. Kate does sound a little like Lily on it in that she sings with a cockney accent on it, but she in fact has more in common with Beth Orton. Definitely a new star to watch !
