Our photographer Andrew Twambley photographs his favouite act of this year's Bluedot Festival, Manchester synth rock act W.H. Lung.
Named after a Chinese supermarket in their native Manchester, W.H. Lung is a young electronic trio whose music embraces elements ok krautrock, post-punk and synthpop. The group, which consists of singer Joe Evans, guitarist Tom Sharkett, drummer Alex Mercer Main, vocalist and synth player Hannah Peace, and Chris Mulligan on bass and synths, have released two albums to date, ''Incidental Music' (2018) and 'Vanities' (2021). They were our photographer Andrew Twambley's favourite act at this year's Bluedot Festival,. Andrew describes them "as the future of synth pop", and Joe Edwards as "the greatesr frontman I have ever seen since I saw Ian Curtis and Joy Division in 1979."
