In 2013, the popularity of dubstep, drum andbass and techno appears disillusional. Ever since Backdraft put on sale their new lean and mean breakbeats, alarm bells here and there started to ring, to reconfirm. And first in line was the flip to their modest slammer 'Skreamin' Out Loudly' which set all systems rolling. The two blueprints retained the sober quality here of roots beats and dubs; the autobahn frenzy in dance music production came a little later. Slamming digital and without any mercy comes the drum & bass chase remix of D-Region & Code for the lead track. Drawn back to gabber ragga, the thumper remix by Warrior1 for 'Pon A Knife' portrays Backdraft at its finest. As it happens to be the shortest track on this EP, it is by far the most adventurous and imaginative of this crop. Tracks from this digital release truly deserve their vinyl destination.
