Engineers - Forgiveness

Label: Echo
Format: CDS
Easy listening indie rock from Wigan-vased four piece Engineers, who owe a debt to Slowdive

Review

Wigan-based four piece Engineers have been around a while , but they are a new band to my ears. They have already delivered a six song EP, 'Folly' and a full album, 'Engineers'. Forgiveness', the title track on their new three song single, sounds a lot like Slowdive, but the vocals are more audible and are not drowned by the cascading sound. It is pleasant and enjoyable, like an easy listening indie experience. 'Stake to Glory', the second song, is very slow and delicate, and still sounds like Slowdive. 'Cats of Justice', the final track, sets a picked acoustic guitar to a slow solo vocal. It is easy on the ears and quite charming.

Track Listing:-

1 Forgiveness
2 Stake To Glory
3 Cats Of Justice
