First release by soon-to be-massive Luton 4 piece Battle, whom sound like "the better bits of Echo and the Bunnymen, early U2 and the Cure"

Review

The debut release by soon-to be-massive Luton 4 piece Battle has come out on Simon Williams' Fierce Panda label. Battle have been around for a while now, having previously played under the name of the Killing Moon. They are a first rate collection of 80's influences, sounding like the better bits of Echo and the Bunnymen, early U2 and the Cure. On' Isabelle, ' frontman Jason Bavandan's vocal sounds like a rocking version of Paddy McAloon from Prefab Sprout, but this time combined with edgy guitae. 'Feel the Same' starts off with floods of feedback, Cure-like drums and deep bass in the style of Joy Division, and has an echoing vocal that sounds as tortured as Ian Curtis. Excellent ! Watch them rise !
