Cooper - Makes Tomorrow Alright

Label: Kung Fu
Format: CD
Back-to-basics and decidely average fourth album from American punks, Cooper

Review

'Cooper Makes Tomorrow Alright' is the fourth album from Cooper, the back-to-basics punks. However in this case back-to-basics has been reduced to simply basic. There is nothing wrong with '...Makes Tomorrow Alright' but it never rises above average. Cooper also possess a rather annoying petulance. The world, it seems, owes them a living. This begins to grate quite quickly, especially as the basic nature of the songs provides little cover for it to hide behind. Songs like ‘Let’s Kill Every One of Them’ and ‘C’mon Give It Up’ leave little lasting impression and - surprisingly for such a loud and angry album - it’s all rather bland. There is some potential here but it is just not realised. '...Makes Tomorrow Alright' is ultimately just not that good.

Track Listing:-

1 C'mon Give It Up
2 Day by Day
3 Ship with Plastic Gold
4 Sweet Precious Time
5 Breath of the Hangman
6 Ship Ahoy
7 Summers Day
8 The Key
9 Somehow
10 Let's Kill Every One Of Them
11 Midlife Crisis
12 Every Single Time
