Strangers - EP3

Label: Stranger World
Format: CDS
Fabulous third EP this year from Northampton-based 80's-influenced synthesiser act, the new band of the Departure's David Jones

Review

This is the third EP this year from the new band of former Departure singer, David Jones. Strangers are a keyboard-based project and like the Departure have a great 80's sound. 'Promises' is sung as a duet with Lara Smiles. It vocals are instantly gripping and the production is big on the synths and recalls the joys of the new romantic era. 'Human' is very danceable and an instant potential hit. It would have been a big time 'Top of the Pops' classic if that had still been around. 'Sweet Nothing' is much meanier and moodier and also absolutely charming. Tt is a song to wrap you up in warmth in the cold winter to come. David is never one to stay still, and for this alone I love this release. This is an absolutely fabulous EP.

Track Listing:-

Safe/Pain (2012)
Superb, but sleazy electro pop on latest single from (Strangers), the present band of former Departure singer David Maddox-Jones
